Illustration Friday - Similar



Initially named "Tryptych", this painting started as a doodle...and as I added different Photoshop filters, different aspects started to emerge - such as the old hounddog some people see in the centre panel. The third panel incorporates the first two images, and then has a brainscan superimposed on top - showing that all three images are indeed similar...

Illustration Friday - Green


"Green" was created in Photoshop, using a custom brush developed from a picture i took of a mannequin on Portage Avenue...The resulting image is not a photographic one, despite the origins of the brush I worked with.

Utata XII - So you think you can dance?

Winnipeg was one of the locations that was used to shoot the JLo, Richard Gere bomb - Shall We Dance?

I thought I would take my guests to a dance studio in The Exchange - for some lessons - just in case there is a call for movie extras while Linus, Joan, and Lee-on-the-road are in town...

Of course, being a "backalley walking" kind of a girl, we went in the backdoor...

Here we are, at The Ledge, visiting with one of the two great bison that grace the grand staircase...Linus was making some wisecracks about Joan and Lee's experience with the Golden Boy, so we thought it was time to put him in the line of fire...

After a bit of a rest, we all headed of to see the Legislative Building of the Province of Manitoba, a landmark in downtown Winnipeg.

Both Joan and Lee were a little taken aback by having been placed on a pedestal directly below the Golden Boy (a replica of the original statue that graces the cupola on top of our provincial legislature)- as they are both extremely assertive women. Neither would like to be considered as being subservient in any way.

Both also mentioned that they could think of better places to tie the red/white bow....tee hee...
